What is Trenton's Got Talent?
Trenton’s Got Talent is Trenton’s first performance art talent show, aimed to showcase the incredible youth of our city.

Who is hosting this event?
Trenton’s Got Talent was conceived by Tony Jackson, Founder and CEO of Trust the King brand, as well as the host of DREAM BIG YOUTH & COMMUNITY FESTIVAL. The event is being co-hosted by Martianne Rich, CEO and Founder of Hearts of Skylar.

Who can participate in Trenton's Got Talent show?
All students in the Trenton school disrict entering 3rd through12th grade for the ‘24- ’25 school year are encouraged to register to audition for the show.

What type of talent are you looking for?
All kinds! Though the show focuses on performance art (music, dance, poetry/spoken word, maguic, comedy, etc), we also encourage visual art students to register as we plan to display chosen pieces the day of the show.
Due to time constraints, we can only accept 100 acts for the audition. Registration ends on June 15th, or once those 100 acts are filled - whicever comes first.

I've never performed publicly before, can I still take part?
Absolutely! This is your time to shine! Our audition judges will provide constructive feedback for you to help you on your journey, whether you make it to the August 17th show or not. Let this be the start of something great for you!

What do I need to bring the day of audition?
First and foremost, you must bring the Terms and Conditions and Events Waivers with you.
Please bring everything you need for your performance - from music, to props.
The performance and props you use in your audition must be the same for the Talent Show.
Audition time will be a maximum of one minute, so please come as prepared as possible.

Why do we only have one minute to audition, isn't that quick?
You’d be amazed how much can be presented in one minute! There will be quite a few students performing that day, so we need to respect everyone’s time. We promise this will be enough - especially if you practice and come prepared.

When is the audition?
The audition will be held on July 20, 2024 at the NJ State Museum, from 11am-3pm.
There will be no alternative days or times for student to audition.

What should I expect the day of the show?
First and foremost, expect to have a blast! This day is meant for you to shine and feel like a star. Take advantage of being surrounded by a community of like minded people - network and make friends!

If I make it to the show, will my family need to buy tickets to see me perform?
All contestants accepted for the Trenton’s Got Talet show on August 17, will recieve 2 tickets to give to their family or friends.
